a recipe for happiness

today was my first day off work in awhile, and even though that makes me insanely happy, i've spent most of the day feeling bored. besides getting my hair cut & talking to my bff, i haven't done anything! i just spent some time thinking about how my jobs + internship are good fits for me & that i love love love working with people every day. how can i be a a shy-ish introvert & still be so inspired when i am around people?! #DILEMMA. i just love happy, friendly, positive people so much!!! this week i have had a caribou coffee relapse, & yesterday when i was ordering a delicious chocolate concoction at caribou, the barista was so so so friendly--it was awesome. AND he was wearing a cream, green, & red fair isle sweater! WHAT. IS THIS REAL LIFE? LOVE. someone once told me that i must love caribou coffeeshops because of their lodge-like interiors, and i'm starting to think he was right. i saw a wedding venue a few weeks ago with a rustic wood ceiling, & i was like "DAMN! i would have my hypothetical wedding reception here!" if you know me, you know i am NOT a fan of wood-tones & wood furniture, but apparently if you show me a wooden high ceiling, i will FREAK OUT. so yeah, happy people + chocolate coffee drinks + fair isle sweaters + lodges = WIN.

in addition to being really inspired by humans right now, i am inspired by interior decor & making my room more fun & visually interesting. i am going for kind of a 1950s space age + girly vibe, & i love it. i want to finally hang up those two framed collages (one by my bff a-woww & one by me), & make more collages (maybe using my accidental postcard collection? hmm "accidental postcard collection" could be a bad band name). i want to make more art, read more books, and learn how to make some delicious recipes, but mostly, i just want to see my bffs all over the world. peace + love + happiness + HUGS
